Join us on every Wednesday for an hour of yoga, meditation and mindfulness at Tinwood Estate.  A perfect way to relax and unwind after a long day, with the tranquillity of the Vineyard as your backdrop.

Jade is a qualified RYT200 Yoga Teacher, who is also part of the team here at Tinwood.

Q&A’s

I have an injury/health issues, can I take part in the Tinwood Yoga sessions?

You must get clearance from your GP before taking part. Let them know you are planning to take a yoga class and ask them what kind of exercise is suitable and what movements are best to avoid. Yoga helps strengthen that mind – body connection but always listen to your body and don’t do anything that doesn’t feel right for you.

Do I need to bring a yoga mat with me?

Yes, a yoga mat is a must however optional is a yoga block and a yoga strap if you would like help with alignment. We do have a couple of spare mats, if you need to borrow one please let us know in advance.

I am a beginner, can I join?

Absolutely! The classes are suited to varied experience including beginners.  Easier modifications will be offered, all postures are demonstrated and gently guided as we flow through the practice.

What style of yoga will it be?

Jade uses a mixture of different styles within the classes. Mostly a Vinyasa style which involves synchronising movement with breath, a mixture of active and passive postures to aid the release tension and help achieve a state of relaxation.

What happens in the case of bad weather?

Classes will be outdoors however we have an indoor tasting room that overlooks the vines, so we can practice together whatever the weather!

 

 

PLEASE NOTE: If you have any health issues which could be made worse by exercise; including high blood pressure, recent surgery/injuries or are/have been recently pregnant then you must speak to your GP first before taking part.  There is an element of risk when taking part in any physical exercise, all activities will be explained and demonstrated, but you must decide where your limit is and know that gradual progress is part of the journey. If you are feeling pain or excessive discomfort you should stop the activity immediately.  You take part at your own risk and by joining the class you are agreeing to this.
