Another exciting year at Tinwood Estate begins

Last year's tendril drying out in the sun

I will start by saying that I am sorry for the delayed posts; I always plan to write one but then something always pops up.

With a beautiful hot and dry March we thought we were going to race on with a great summer! but England being England this didn’t last long.

2012 will prove to be an exciting year not only for Tinwood Estate but also English wine in general. Its just a few weeks until the Queen is celebrating her Diamond Jubilee. In recognition of our great monarch we are throwing open our doors and inviting everyone to the vineyard to come sample our great British Fizz to toast to the queen (2-5th June, look on the website for more details).

Later in the year we will have the Euro’s and of course the big one… the Olympics is coming to London! this opportunity to showcase our medal-winning wines to the world is really important to all of us within the industry.

our website is now up and running and a big thanks has to go to Profile design who have done an amazing job! check it out at www.tinwoodestate.com its a real good way of keeping up to date with all the parties, events or just general news that comes from the vineyard. i think the website is much better than the Apprentice could come up with but i will have to leave Lord Sugar to be the judge of that one!

On a personal note it has been a great year. we are getting some amazing reviews of our wines and they are almost selling themselves which is a huge relief. After avoiding the frosts we now look forward to the important wimbledon week when the vines traditionally flower which THE key stage in the vines growth for the season. We have some exciting new customers and new projects on the horizon – watch this space!
