Let’s raise a glass to 2023 🥂

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Tinwood Estate in 2023. It was a very exciting year full of events, extending our food offerings, seeing honoured members of staff move on to new adventures, and, we had our best Harvest to date with 3.7 tonnes of grapes hand-picked from our Vineyard.

In January, Art visited Berkshire Labels to preview our new bottle labelling, designed by Gemma Clarke and Will Parr.

In February, we hosted a romantic Valentine’s Sparkling Afternoon Tea.

We welcomed our new Head Chef, Santo Buscilgio in March, who introduced himself via a delicious Spring Dinner Series. It is a joy to have him on our team and there have been many compliments to the chef throughout the year.

Then in April, as our vines started budding, we celebrated the opening of our Vineyard Kitchen and Estate shop. This was a truly special celebration as Art announced the new menu of tapas-style small plates. Everything is crafted to pair with our wines, with most of our ingredients locally sourced, and dishes are on a seasonal rotation. Both Vineyard Kitchen and Estate Shop are open every day from 9:00-17:30.

Throughout the summer, our lovely Jade hosted Yoga in the Vines. She also hosts her yoga classes outside of Tinwood. Follow @jadecrystalyoga to stay up-to-date with her class schedule.

June 3rd saw the Tinwood Summer Party, which was sold out for another year. This is always a fantastic celebration of drinking cocktails, sparking wine, and enjoying some incredible entertainment. A huge thank you to Oggies Pizzas, Stylish House Events, Future Flex, DJ Andy Norman, and High Voltage Events for being a part of the occasion and helping us throw the best Vineyard Party in the UK!

In July, we had our Summer Dinner Series with a delightfully fresh menu and gorgeous wine pairings. Then, we opened our Outdoor Cinema in August for screenings of Ocean’s Eleven and Bottle Shock. They were two evenings of enjoying the last of summer, tucking into movie-styled snacks and Sussex Sparkling wine.

We picked 307.6 tonnes of grapes at Tinwood Estate in 2023 – our best Harvest yet!

Just to put this number into perspective, last year we picked 150 tonnes of grapes. This massive increase was thanks to the idyllic climate and soil conditions for our vines’ growth.

In October, we introduced our Sunday Roast Lunches, which have been incredibly popular. Our sharing boards provide a unique experience in a stunning vineyard setting. Our 2024 dates are already selling out, so book now to reserve your space.

Finally, November saw our Autumn Dinner Series sell out. It was a warming evening with wine pairings and exquisite food as rain fell outside, and we all looked ahead to the festive period.

We had a fantastic Christmas. Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Christmas Dinner Series, Festive Afternoon Tea, and Christmas Eve Feast. And hopefully, lots of you received Tinwood Gifts to unwrap. We sold 591 Gift Vouchers in December alone!
