Things to do when you stay at Tinwood Estate
In case you have not heard the news yet, we have five new lodges coming to Tinwood Estate, set to open this summer! Our Luxury Lodges are perfect for a peaceful, romantic escape, each accommodating a private deck with far-reaching views of the vines. Included in each lodge is a large king-sized bed with a two-person jacuzzi bath. Combine the stocked wine fridge and the option to take our Vineyard Kitchen small plates back to your lodge with you, and you have everything you need for a relaxing retreat. Beyond our vineyard haven, however, there is plenty to explore within walking distance or just a short drive away.

Discounted Vineyard Tour and Wine Tasting Experience
When you book your stay at Tinwood Estate, you will get 20% off your Vineyard Tour and Wine Tasting experience, allowing you to learn how Tinwood went from salad to vines. (Yes, when the land was bought in 1985, it was originally an iceberg lettuce farm!) Beautiful Walks via our Vineyard Trails
Our Estate is over 200 acres large – 110 of which are vines – so there is plenty of walking and discovery to do. Around our vineyard is a series of walking trails. Explore local villages Halnaker and Boxgrove which are rich in history. Or, try and find the Tinwood bees that produce our delicious honey, available to buy at Cellar Door. The Windmill Trail leads you to Halnaker Windmill, where you will find far-reaching views over Sussex and the Downs. Make sure you grab a takeaway coffee from our Vineyard Kitchen before you set off on your adventure, or return to the Tasting Room for a rewarding glass of bubbles on our deck.
Borrow our Mountain Bikes and Relax in the Oak Barrel Sauna
If you prefer your holidays to be full of adrenaline, make the most of our free-to-borrow mountain bikes. This is another fantastic way to explore the local surroundings and work up an appetite for our sparkling wine. However, you may just want to relax and unwind in this peaceful setting. Our Oak Barrel Sauna will allow you to do exactly that. Wrap yourself up in a robe and close your eyes in the warmth. Our brand-new sauna will also have forest views, so you can truly immerse yourself in the tranquility that surrounds Tinwood.
Flying Experience with Ultimate High
Another one for the adrenaline junkies. Experience the vines from a different point of view by setting flight with Ultimate High. From March 2024, we have partnered with Ultimate High Flying Experiences to provide a fantastic day out here in Chichester. Begin your day at Goodwood, just across the road from our estate, where you can take control of an aircraft. There are a range of flying experiences you can choose from, which you can discover here.
After your flight, come back to Tinwood for a bottle of wine to celebrate your adventure. Or continue your sense of adventure and discovery via a Tour and Tasting. Explore Chichester Town Centre
Tinwood Estate is only 10-minutes from the Cathedral City of Chichester. Bursting with high street and independent stores, plus pubs and bars playing live music, theatres, galleries, and of course the historic cathedral, there is plenty to discover in the town centre. Visit Chichester Festival Theatre for a live performance, or Pallant House and Gallery for art exhibitions. Tinwood wine is available to purchase from a selection of restaurants and bars in the city including The Ivy, and Purchases.

West Wittering Beach
The beautiful sandy West Wittering Beach is only 20-minutes from Tinwood Estate. Travel in style by test-driving a Tesla for free. Tinwood Estate is one of four self-schedule Test Drive locations in the UK, allowing you to borrow a Tesla free of charge for an hour, or overnight. All can be booked managed within the Tesla app.
Swim in the sea, sunbathe on the sand, or enjoy brunch at Drifters Cafe. Tinwood is also served at The Wittering Gastropub. A day out at The Witterings will make you feel like you could be anywhere in the world. And when you return to your vineyard lodge, you will believe you are in the South of France, not the South of England!
