Dine from your Luxury Lodge with Tinwood’s Dinner Hampers

Dinner Hampers are the latest offering at Tinwood Estate in Chichester, West Sussex. Tinwood Estate opened five new luxury lodges in April 2024, bringing their accommodation to eight. Guests can now enhance their vineyard stay with a three-course dinner hamper to enjoy from the comfort of the lodge, looking out to the vines.

There is always something new at Tinwood Estate. Since the second-generation estate owners, Art and Jody Tukker, opened the doors to their original Tasting Room in 2012, there has been an ever-growing list of experiences available. Estate guests can enjoy a vineyard tour and taste three glasses of sparkling wine every day of the year. Or, there is the option to upgrade the Tour and Tasting with a weekly Sparkling Afternoon Tea Tour.  Other events include consistently sold-out Sunday Lunches in the winter months, a seasonal five-course Dinner Series, and most recently – three-course dinner hampers for lodge guests.

Three lodges opened at Tinwood in 2016 to huge popularity. The accommodation based in Halnaker, North Chichester has private south-facing terraces for incredible views of the vines during an overnight stay. In April 2024, five more lodges were added to the estate, increasing their accommodation to eight. 

Lodge guests can choose small plates from the Vineyard Kitchen to enjoy from the comfort of their lodge. Or, now, lodge guests can pre-order a dinner hamper to be delivered to their lodge.

Dinner Hampers

When booking a Tinwood Lodge, guests will be asked if they want to enhance their stay by pre-ordering a three-course Dinner Hamper for two. This unique dining option provides the luxury of a hot chef-made meal without having to leave the stunning accommodation. At 6 pm during the stay, a sweet wicker basket will arrive with a starter, main course, and dessert for two people. The set menu is seasonal to complement the gorgeous surroundings and Sussex bubbles. 

Lodge stays include a continental breakfast hamper, which is similarly delivered to the lodge. Expect fresh orange juice, homemade granola, yogurt, berry compote, fruit salad, warm croissants, toast, and hard-boiled eggs. While breakfast is included in the accommodation price, the dinner hampers are pre-ordered separately for £85. Guests can add dinner to their lodge stay when booking or email info@tinwoodestate.com with at least 48 hours notice. A wine fridge in each lodge stocks still and sparkling wines to be purchased separately.

The Menus 

Served from March to May, the spring menu starts with a gorgeous trio of colourful beetroot and creamy goat’s cheese mousse. To follow is a Spiced Braised Lamb Leg Tagine served with apricot, tomato, ras el hanout, wild rice, and coriander. Guests will want to save room for a light Vanilla Crème Brûlée to finish.

The summer menu (June-August) begins with local oak-smoked salmon and marinated white crab, served with refreshing citrus & chive cream cheese and toasted sourdough. The main course is an impressive Beef Wellington wrapped in mushroom duxelles, serrano ham, & chive pancake. On the side, dauphinoise potatoes, mixed green vegetables, and a rich red wine jus. It wouldn’t be summer without strawberries, and Chef’s strawberry mousse is perfect for a balmy evening, topped with a white chocolate crumb and fresh berries.

From September to November, the hampers include chicken liver parfait with homemade sourdough and apple chutney. The main course is a warming Beef Bourguignon. Finish with a delicious milk Chocolate Cheesecake served with winterberry jam. A menu perfectly crafted to complement the golden colours of Autumn and a crisp glass of Sussex Sparkling.

We also offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free menus. Dietary requirements and allergies can be catered for with at least 48 hours notice.

More about the Vineyard Kitchen 

Tinwood’s Vineyard Kitchen opened in 2023, offering hot and cold tapas-style small plates, crafted to pair with Tinwood wine. The premium grab-and-go counters have a colourful array of local, seasonal produce. The Blanc de Blancs fridge contains mixed olives, marinated anchovies, Charlie’s cold smoked trout, and delicious homemade tapenades. 

Recommended with the Estate Brut – a classic Champagne blend wine – is a selection of hot tapas. The sausage roll and smoked arancini are amongst the most popular dishes. Rotational specials include teriyaki chicken, smoked haddock fishcakes, glazed pork, and lamb meatballs. 

Finally to pair with Tinwood’s peachy pink rosé is an impressive selection of local cheeses and homemade desserts. The Vineyard Kitchen concept allows Tinwood customers to tuck into high-quality food as a leisurely picnic or self-crafted charcuterie board. 

The Vineyard Kitchen is open daily, 9:00 – 17:30 for walk-ins, or for tour guests to enjoy in tandem with the wine tasting.
